Eczematous eruptions, however, are rarely reported, with disseminated eczema in particular being infrequently seen and likely underrecognized. We present a unique case of disseminated vesicular eczema following radiotherapy for ductal carcinoma in situ. The development of a localized vesicular eruption with subsequent dissemination can occur following radiotherapy. The mechanism of autosensitization is poorly understood but likely involves a cell-mediated immune response.
