%X Fusarium infections are very rare in HIV-infected patients, even in patients in advanced stages of immunosuppression. All the reported cases in the literature are of disseminated infection, and with poor outcomes despite prompt and appropriate treatment. To the best of our knowledge, this is the first report of a localized infection with Fusarium keratoplasticum in an HIV-positive patient, successfully treated with a combination of antifungal therapy and surgical removal of the focus
