%0 Journal Article %T The contribution of occupational therapy to building a dementia %A Hidetoshi Endo %A Yohko Maki %J British Journal of Occupational Therapy %@ 1477-6006 %D 2018 %R 10.1177/0308022618774508 %X In this practice analysis, occupational therapists analysed the difficulties of social instrumental activities of daily living in people with dementia based on examples from their individual practice, and then developed a practical tool to support people with dementia in various settings. People with dementia should be recognised as equal contributors to society. The results of this study can be used as an educational tool for raising awareness of dementia and expanding community support for people living with dementia.
