%X Physician burnout compromises the safety and well-being of both patients and physicians. Affecting over half of practicing physicians in the United States, burnout appears to be on the rise (1). A work-related syndrome, burnout exists across three dimensions: emotional exhaustion, depersonalization, and a feeling of a lack of accomplishment (2). The gold standard for measuring burnout is the Maslach Burnout Inventory (MBI), a 22-item questionnaire assessing the condition across all three domains (3-5)
