%X Extracorporeal membrane oxygenation (ECMO) is a complex and expensive complication-burdened life support modality in order to treat patients with respiratory and/or circulatory failure. A group of ECMO enthusiasts recently launched the first polish ECMO program called ¡°ECMO for Greater Poland¡±. The program¡¯s objective is to take full advantage of the indications for extracorporeal life support for the 3.5 million inhabitants of the Greater Poland region (1,2)
