%X Diagnosis of peripheral lung nodules can be achieved with a variety of techniques, including bronchoscopy, computed tomography (CT)-guided needle biopsy, and video-assisted thoracoscopic surgery (1). Despite recent advances in bronchoscopy, its diagnostic yield continues to be suboptimal and varies substantially among different publications, ranging in some of them from 38% to 74% (2-5)
