Pulmonary function and high-resolution computed tomography (HRCT) are used to evaluate the severity of non-CF bronchiectasis (2-4). However, pulmonary spirometry and radiological interpretation are insufficient to capture the complexity of this disease (5) as patients with similar prognoses may have variable pulmonary spirometry and radiological findings.
