Due to the high degree of aggressiveness and propensity of metastasis, ACC patients present advanced disease since the diagnosis and do not benefit from surgery. At present, the treatment of ACC includes surgery (2), mitotane (3), standard chemotherapy, including the scheme Etoposide, Doxorubicin and Cisplatin, or steptozotocin (4), or gemcitabine plus capecitabine (5), radiotherapy (6), and target therapies (7-11).
