BTC account for nearly 3% of all gastrointestinal cancers (1) and are classified according to anatomical location into intrahepatic cholangiocarcinoma (iCCA), perihilar cholangiocarcinoma, also known as Klatskin tumor (pCCA) and distal extrahepatic cholangiocarcinoma (eCCA).
