Chemotherapy has been accepted as the mainstay of systemic treatment for TNBC patients, bringing dramatic benefit to both early and late stage TNBC patients (1). But TNBC still has a higher rate of loco-regional and distant recurrence and a worse prognosis than women with other breast cancer subtypes.
