It is associated with increased short-term mortality, morbidity, and prolonged intensive care unit stay, especially in patients who required renal replacement therapy (4,5). The incidence of AKI after aortic surgery has been reported to approximate 50% (1,6). Although mild to moderate acute kidney injuries are common, 2¨C15% of patients with AKI require continuous renal replacement therapy (CRRT) after aortic surgery (6-10).
