In China, the mortality rate of lung cancer has increased by 465% compared with 30 years ago and there were about 0.6 million patients who died from lung cancer each year (2,3). The proportion of the elderly patients continued increasing along with the population ages, which were often accompanied with different kinds of complications and could not tolerate conventional treatment, such as surgery, chemotherapy and radiotherapy. Hence, serious of local treatment methods were developed, such as radiofrequency ablation (RFA), cryoablation, and microwave ablation (4). Among them, only RFA was listed in the US National Comprehensive Cancer Network clinical guidelines on non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC) (5) %U http://jtd.amegroups.com/article/view/17605/html
