%X 摘要 传教士报刊“科技辅教”现象作为晚清传教士跨文化传播活动的重要内容，涉及 科技传播和宗教传播的双重复合架构。该现象的生成基于自然神论普及的内在文化动 因和晚清暗弱的外在现实动因，呈现出“去塞求通”“学理说服”和“文明同化”的 历时性传播架构和模式。它使科学精神遮蔽于宗教意识，阻碍了前者的传播。厘清这 一晚清科技传播的意识形态问题，并对此作文化价值平衡性重估，可修正中国近代报 刊史、科技传播史和近代文化思想史涉此内容的片面化认知，利于对中国科技传播的 历史和现状进行反思和启示。<br>The phenomenon of “missionizing through science & technology”in the missionary press, which involves the dual composite structure of science & technology communication and religious communication, was an important part of intercultural communication activities among the missionaries in Late Imperial China. Its formation was based on the internal cultural motivation centered on natural theology and the external reality motivation of the China’s national conditions. It had three diachronic communication structures: Removing obstacles, Doctrinal persuasion and Civilized assimilation. The phenomenon caused scientific spirit to be obscured by religious consciousness and hindered the spread of the former. By clarifying the ideological issues of science & technology communication, we make a balanced reassessment of its cultural value, and revise the unilateral recognition of the related content in the studies on history of modern Chinese press，history of modern Chinese science & technology communication, and history of modern Chinese thought. It is benefcial to rethink and enlighten the history and the state of Chinese science & technology communication
