The study began with 2 baseline nights (B1每B2) of 9ˋh nocturnal sleep opportunity followed by the first school week period, during which one group were provided with a 6.5ˋh nocturnal sleep opportunity (00:15每06:45) and the other group 5ˋh nocturnal sleep opportunity (01:00每06:00) with a 1.5ˋh afternoon nap (14:00每15:30). This was followed by a ※weekend§ recovery period of 9ˋh nocturnal sleep opportunity (R11每R12). The second weekday (SR21每SR23) and weekend recovery period (R21每R22) of the experiment matched the first, except with 3-days of manipulation rather than 5. Picture encoding began at the end of the first manipulation period (SR15) and was tested after two nights of recovery (R12).
