In particular, doped C-dots have excellent fluorescent properties that have been successfully utilized for numerous applications. In this minireview, we overview the recent advances on the synthesis of doped C-dots derived from carbon-rich sources and their potential applications for biomedical and sensing applications. In addition, we will also discuss some challenges and outline some future perspectives of this exciting material %K carbon dots %K doping %K fluorescent propertum dots with pH- and thies %K sensing %K bioimaging %U https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC5977356/
