%X Secondary hyperparathyroidism (SHPT) and anemia are the primary and most common complications in patients receiving hemodialysis (HD). Neutrophil gelatinase-associated lipocalin (NGAL) is a new marker to assess iron deficiency and manage iron therapy for HD patients.
