%0 Journal Article %T The ¡°§¤§°§²£¿§´§ª¡± Concept in Slavonic Versions of the Ascetical Homilies of Saint Isaac the Syrian (Based on Material of Lexical Variation of Homily 21 from Version A and Homilies 10¨C14 from Version B) %J STUDIA PHILOLOGICA %D 2017 %X The concept of ¡°burning¡± in Bulgarian and Russian linguocultures is mostly defined by its conceptualisation in Slavonic copies of the medieval literature. The cognitive schemes of ¡°burning lighting ¨C the soul and the heart of a man¡± and ¡°burning as a spiritual ministration, as an expression of strong emotions¡± are analysed in material of Lexical Variation in the Homily 21 from Version A and Homilies 10¨C14 from Version B of the Ascetical Homilies of Saint Isaac the Syrian. The concept of ¡°burn/burning¡± is realised through a system of meanings, structured by the implementation of various cognitive schemes. The lexical material and the word-formation models, though shown in a short text, present the signs of a rich synonymic and multilayer fund of literature lexis dating from the XIV century %K Isaac the Syrian %K lexical variation %K concept^ burn^ burning. %U http://journals.uni-vt.bg/studiaphilologica/eng/vol36/iss1/16
