%X Situs inversus is a rare congenital anomaly, characterized by transposition of the large organs. Although the anomaly is generally without symptoms, it can cause difficulties in the diagnostic process. We present the case of 44-year old man presenting with acute cholecystitis. The patient underwent successful laparoscopic cholecystectomy, from which he recovered uneventful. Performing a laparoscopic cholecystectomy in a patient with situs inversus can be technically more demanding and requires re-orientation from the surgeon
