Although little Canadian research has explored multiraciality, American and British research demonstrates there are differences in the mental health and substance use rates of multiracial individuals when compared to monoracial groups.Ten multiracial community mental health clients were interviewed to explore how multiraciality affected their wellbeing. Participants discussed racism, belonging, spirituality, identity, strengths and good care. Suggestions for improving mental health services to multiracial individuals are discussed.
