%X Aims: This paper shows the analytical framework used by Elinor Ostrom in her book Understanding Institutional Diversity, which provides that institutions underlie the decisions that face the economic individual and develops the proposal by Ostrom of modifying the rules, to make them efficient and insert them into codes or regulations (local, national and international) to make them sustainable over time.
