生态足迹是一种测量人类对自然利用程度的定量研究方法。通过分析区域的生态足迹与生态承载力，通过二者的比较可以判断出一个区域的发展是否处于生态承载力的范围内，即生态赤字或生态盈余。本文介绍了生态足迹分析的概念及计算方法，总结了国内外的研究现状，分析了生态足迹分析的特点。
Ecological footprint is a quantitative research method to measure the degree of human utilization of nature. By analyzing the ecological footprint and ecological carrying capacity of a region, we can judge whether the development of a region is within the scope of ecological carrying capacity, that is, ecological deficit or ecological surplus. This paper introduces the concept and calculation method of ecological footprint analysis, summarizes the research status in China and abroad, and analyses the characteristics of ecological footprint analysis.
