The diagnostic criteria, causes, assessment methods and prevention and treatment of nutritional status of maintenance hemodialysis (MHD) patients were reviewed, which provided reference value for better prevention and treatment of malnutrition in patients with maintenance hemodialysis and improvement of survival rate and quality of life.
