%X As a contemporary calligraphist, He Lu is famous for a new and fresh air of his calligraphy because of his learning from all the others and owning numerous excellences. At present, Chinese calligraphy is still in the category of comprehensive macro aesthetics. The analysis of the artistic characteristics and cultural connotation of his calligraphy is aiming at exploring the inheritance relationship between the artistic qualities of his calligraphy and traditional culture, which is helpful to strengthen the cultural confidence of contemporary scholars. The cultural implication in his calligraphy shows the importance of reading for calligraphists.
