The in- frared spectrograms were conducted to verify the coordination of metasilicate with copolymer. The result indicates that metasilicate is not involved in the polymerization reaction. Through TG analysis,the HTF-210C performs high tem- perature resistance and its chemical structure is stable below 300,℃. The evaluation results show that the HTF-210C has excellent fluid loss control ability,salt tolerant ability,good compatibility with other additives and rapid devel- opment of compressive strength at low temperature. The phenomena of “false set” or “abnormal gel” did not appear in the thickening experiments of the cement slurry containing the HTF-210C under high temperature and high pressure.
