Methods: Studies were searched in databases of CNKI and Web of Science according to the inclusion criteria and exclusion criteria, and the relevant data was collected and analyzed by Revman5.3 software, and the publication bias was analyzed by the funnel plot. Results: Thirty studies (20 papers) were included. Gender, body parts, age, exercise type, intervention duration, exercise frequency, exercise time impacted on the relationship between physical exercise and bone mineral density. Conclusion: Physical exercise can improve the bone mineral density of middle-age and older people, but this effect in different body parts is influenced by gender, exercise type, intervention duration and age. The effect of physical exercise on bone mineral density of men is better than that of women. The exercise program of 3 time/week, 30-60 min/time and >12 months, is beneficial to improving bone mineral density of middle-age and older people, especially on the bone mineral density of lumbar spine and trochanter. The reasons for the different effects are not clear, and more high quality randomized controlled trials are needed %K age physical exercise bone mineral density meta-analysis %U http://xuebao.bsu.edu.cn/ch/reader/view_abstract.aspx?file_no=20160309&flag=1
