Methods Twenty patients with stage Ⅲ-Ⅳ NSCLC(Lung cancer group) undergoing adaptive autologous NK cells and 20 healthy subjects(control group) were enrolled in the study. Peripheral blood NK cells(CD16+CD56+)were detected with flow cytometry, and the Eastern Cooperative Oncology Group(ECOG) performance scores(PS) were evaluated before and after the adoptive NK therapy. Results Before adaptive therapy the peripheral blood NK(CD16+CD56+)levels in NSCLC patients were significantly lower than those in controls [(8.980±1.942)% vs(15.290±1.869)%, P<0.05]. The PS was decreased from(1.50±1.080) to(1.00±0.816)(P<0.05); and the peripheral blood NK levels was increased to(24.660±10.049)%] after adoptive therapy(P<0.05). Conclusion Autologous NK cells adoptive immunotherapy may improve the immune function and performance status in patients with advanced non-small cell lung cancer %K
