Sleep disorder is common in the patients with Alzheimer’s disease (AD). However, its molecularmechanism is still a mystery. Meanwhile, lots of studies have found that both cholinergic and adenosine play importantroles in sleep. After reviewing a large number of related literatures and making a lot of discussion, we thought that ADrelatedsleep disorder might be related to cholinergic negative regulation of adenosine in basal forebrain (BF) area.In addition, we put forward two regulatory pathways: cholinergic–NTPDase3–adenosine–sleep and cholinergic–NF-κB–adenosine–A1R–sleep. We hope that these would be able to provide useful reference for the studies on the molecularmechanism of AD-related sleep disorder %K 阿尔茨海默症 %K 睡眠障碍 %K 基底前脑胆碱能 %K 腺苷 %K 负性调控
