%X 长期以来“中医”的定义及内涵颇有分歧，由此引发“中医”的英译是“Traditional ChineseMedicine”（TCM）还是“Chinese Medicine”（CM）的争议。本文通过分析“中医学”学科及专业分类，认为“中医学”（CM）＝“中国传统医学”（TCM）＋“中西医结合医学”，而“中国传统医学”（TCM）＝“汉医学”＋“民族医学”，并进一步提出了“中医学”从广义至狭义五层次内涵的观点，对“中医”的英译应根据实际内涵而分别采用“CM”或“TCM”。<br>The definition and intension of “Zhongyi” have been in disagreement for long, which results in its differentEnglish translation—“Traditional Chinese Medicine” (TCM) or “Chinese Medicine” (CM). In this article, by analyzingthe classification of disciplines and specialties, the author presented a viewpoint that “CM = TCM + Chinese and WesternIntegrative Medicine”, while “TCM = Sino-medicine + Ethno-medicine”. In addition, five grades of intension from thebroad to narrow sense were assumed, and CM or TCM should be adopted according to the specific intension of “Zhongyi”
