%0 Journal Article %T Optimization of a Si-SiO2 Waveguide Coupler for Photonic Integrated Circuits %A Yike Wang %J Circuits and Systems %P 101-106 %@ 2153-1293 %D 2018 %I Scientific Research Publishing %R 10.4236/cs.2018.97010 %X In this paper, we demonstrated a compact Si-SiO2 waveguide coupler with a footprint of only 2 ¦Ìm ¡Á 3 ¦Ìm by topology optimization in the communication wavelength. The transmission was increased from 30% to 100%, much higher than other methods.
