%X £¿inthispaper,elevenstrains,whichwerescreenedstrictlyfromrawroyaljelly,soilandhoneycombetc.bymeansofdilutionplateandspreadplatemethods,wereculturedat28¡æfor60hwithshaking.todeterminewhethertheycouldyield10-hydroxy-2-decenoicacidduringfermentation,gaschromatographyandgaschromatography-massspectrometrymethodswereused.theresultsshowedthatthestrainsbh002andbh004,werebothidentifiedascrytococcaceae,wherebh002wasprimarilyclassifiedintocandidaforpossessingtheabilities.the10-hdaproductivityofcandidabh002andthatofbh004were0.327%and0.2648%respectively.
