%0 Journal Article %T characterizationofcoalwaterslurrypreparedforprbcoal %A fei %A yi %A akshay %A gopan %A richard %A l. %A axelbaum %J 燃料化学学报 %P 1167-1171 %D 2014 %X ?powderriverbasin(prb)coal,whichaccountsforover40%ofthecoalconsumedforpowergenerationintheunitedstates,wasinvestigatedforpreparationofcoalwaterslurry(cws).thestaticstabilityandrheologyofthecwswerecharacterizedasafunctionofloading.thecoalloadingwasvariedfrom30%to50%andbothionic(sodiumpolystyrenesulphonate(pss))andnonionic(tritonx-100)surfactantswereemployedasadditives.theadditionofpsstoprbslurrieswasfoundtoyieldpoorstaticstability.ontheotherhand,tritonx-100wasfoundtobeaneffectivesurfactant,reducingthesedimentationbymorethan50%comparedtotheonewithoutsurfactantin45%cws.addingtritonx-100reducestheviscosityofthecwsforcoalloadingsof30%and40%.althoughtheviscositiesforcoalloadingof42.5%and45%arehigherwhentritonx-100isadded,thestaticstabilityissignificantlybetterthanforsampleswithoutsurfactant.thehighestcoalloadingforprbslurrywithacceptableviscosityforpumpingis42.5%. %K coalwaterslurry %K prbcoal %K characterization %U http://rlhxxb.sxicc.ac.cn/CN/abstract/abstract18499.shtml
