%X ?oneofthethrustareasofresearchistofindanalternativefueltomeettheincreasingdemandforenergy.glucoseisagoodsourceofalternativefuelforcleanenergyandiseasilyavailableinabundancefrombothnaturallyoccurringplantsandindustrialprocesses.electrochemicaloxidationofglucoseinfuelcellrequireshighelectro-catalyticsurfaceoftheelectrodetoproducethecleanelectricalenergywithminimumenergylossesinthecell.ptandptbasedalloysexhibithighelectro-catalyticpropertiesbuttheyareexpensive.forenergysynthesisateconomicallycheapprice,nonptbasedinexpensivehighelectrocatalyticmaterialisrequired.electrosynthesizedzno-al2o3compositeisfoundtoexhibithighelectro-catalyticpropertiesforglucoseoxidation.thecyclicvoltammetryandchronoamperometrycurvesreflectthatthematerialisverymuchcomparabletoptasfarasthemaximumcurrentandthesteadystatecurrentdeliveredfromtheglucoseoxidationareconcerned.xrdimageconfirmsthemixedoxidecomposite.semimagesmorphologyshowincreased3dsurfaceareasathighermagnification.thisattributedhighcurrentdeliveredfromelectrochemicaloxidationofglucoseonthiselectrodesurface.
