%X ThousandsofexceptionallywellpreservedfossilanimalsandplantshavebeenrecoveredfromtheMiddleJurassictoLowerCretaceouslacustrinedepositsofwesternLiaoningProvinceandadjacentregionsinthepasttwentyyears.Thesefossilsincludemorethan20groups(Zhouetal.,2003;Changetal.,2003),amongwhichtheflower-associatedinsects,lissamphibians,pterosaurs,featheredtheropods,birds,earlymammals,andangiospermshaveattractedpaleontologists’attentionworldwide.
