%X Pterosaurs,usuallyknownasflyingreptiles,werethefirstvertebrategrouptodevelopactiveflight.Despitebeingstudiedformorethan200years,therearestillmanycontroversialquestionsregardingpterosaurfunctionalmorphology,suchasthestanceandgaitwhengrounded,whichrelyprimarilyondirectexaminationofwell-preservedarticulatedspecimens,ichnofossils(trackways)andphylogeneticinferences.
