%X NansutureinnorthernThailand,representingacomplexzonewithcomplexgeologyandstructures,hasbeenselectedforairbornegeophysicalinvestiga-tions.ThesuturehasbeenwidelyacceptedasanearlyTriassiccollisionzonebetweenShan-ThaiandIndo-chinamicrocontinentalblocks.Ourfielddatasuggesttheoccurrenceofamélangezoneinresponsetocom-pressiontectonics.Moreover,previouspetrochemicalandfieldinvestigationssuggestthattheNansuturemayhavebeenformedasaresultofasubductionzone.
