%X U-PbisotopicagedeterminationsarereportedforzirconfractionsfromatonalitegneissfromKuoTsiaKouandaretrogressedtwo-pyroxenegranulitefromTaipingzhaiintheEastHopeiProvinceofNorthChina.AlthoughthezirconU-PbsystemsareslightlydiscordantthelineardistributionofPb/Upointsonaconcordiaplotindicatesthatzirconpopulationsfrombothrockshaveanageof2480±20Ma.ThisisinterpretedastheageofthegranulitefaciesmetamorphismwhichaffectedtheArchaeanrocksofEastHopeiProvince.
