%X Thespeciesofcoralsheredescribedcomprisethefollowing.1.FavositesforbesiE.&H.vatkweitungensisGrabau2.OmphymaglomerataGrabau.3.OmphymacystiphylloidesGrabau.4.CystiphyllumomphymiformeGrabau.5.Cystiphyllnmsp.6.AmplexusoflojopingensisGrabau.Withthesecoralsoccurnumerouswell-preservedspecimensofSpirifertingiGr.andseveralotherbrachiopodsofundescribedspecies.AlsoaspeciesofHolopea,probablyH.yilungensisGr.Thoughnotlarge,thisfaunaisdistinctiveandconsistsoftypicalSilurianforms.TheSpirifertingibedswerefirstrecognizedasapartoftheMiaokaogroupintheCh¨¹tshingregionofEastYunnan,wherethesebedsoverlietheLowerSilurianMientiengroupdisconformably,andhaveanexposedthicknessof165metres.ThefaunainthetypicalsectionatYilungcomprisesthefollowingspecies~1.ANTHOZOA.Cladoporak¨¹tsingensisGrabauBRACHIOPODACamarotoechiaoftongkinensisMans.Spirifer(Eospirifer)tingiGrabau.PELECYPODAPterineamientienensisGrabauActinopteriamansuyiGrabauModiolopsismiaokaoensisGrabauModiolopsissp.LedayilungensisGrabauPraecardiumdistansGrabauGASTROPODAHormotomak¨¹tsingensisGrabauH.k¨¹tsingensisvar.majorGrabauHolopeayilungensisGrabauOSTRACODALeperditiatingiGrabauLeperditiasp.Entomis?corduroidesGrabauIntheEastYunnanregion,theSpirifertingibedsareoverlainbytheSpiriferbourgeoisibeds,andthesebyhigherbedswithCeratiocaris,whilestillhigherbedswithfishremainssucceedthese.Noneofthesehigherbedshowever,havesofarbeenfoundinKweichow.ThestratigraphyisgiveninthefollowingnotebyV.K.Ting.
