%X ThepresenceoffacultativeapomixisInline296Bwasprovedbytheembryologicalstudy.Thetwinembryosacswereobservedatflorescence.Theautonomousdevelopmentofem-bryowasconfirmedbymultiplecellproembryoexistingwithundevelopedpolarnucleiInoneembryosac.Cellstructureandsizeofapomicticproembryoweredifferentfromsexualproembryo.Thestructuralfeatureofproembryocanbeusedtodistinguishapomicticproembryowithdevel-opedendospermfromsexualembryo.Theapomicticdevelopmentinthislineisattributedtoaposporoustype.ThefrequencyofapomixisIsatleast16—21%.Theapomicticcharactersandthepotentialforfixingheterosisinline296Bwasdlscussedinthepresentpaper.
