%X Waterstresstreatmentatdifferentdevelopmentalstagesofawinterwheatvarietywasmadeinoutdoorpotexperimentsfrom1987to1988.Itwasfoundthatthemostsensitivestagewasthebootingstageandthesecondmostsensitivestagewasthefloweringstage.Waterstressatmostdevelopmentstagesaffectsthenumberofgrains.Wheatwaterstresscanbediag-nosedeffectivelyandquicklybymeansofleaftemperaturedifferencebetweenthedroughtfieldandthewellwateredcontrolplotmeasuredbyaninfra-redthermometer.
