%0 Journal Article %T EffectofStrainRateonCompressionBehaviorofVinylEsterResinCasting %A XIONGTao %A YANGBin %A XIONGJie %A XUXian-jian %A ZHOUKai %A MAOMing-zhong %J ²ÄÁϹ¤³Ì %D 2006 %X Quasi-staticandhighstrainratecompressiveexperimentsonvinylestercastingwerecarriedoutbymeansofMTS(MaterialTestSystem)andHopkinsonbar.Thebehaviorsofthecompressedunstableandfractureoftheresincastingatdifferentstrainrateswereinvestigated.Theresultsindicatethattheresponsebehavioroftheresincastingiscontrolledbydifferentmechanismsatdifferentstrainrate,andsomemechanicalpropertiesofvinylestercastingarerate-dependentthecastingaredestroyedintoughnessmodelunderstrainrate3.3¡Á10-4¡«6.6¡Á10-3/s,whilethecastingaredestroyedinbrittlenessmodelunderstrainrate950¡«5800/s.Theyieldstress,yieldstrainenergydensityareallincreasedwiththeincreasingstrainratesatquasi-staticaswellasathighstrainrates.Whatisinterestingisthattheyieldstraindecreasedwiththestrainratesincreasingatquasi-staticwhileincreasedathighstrainrates.Itisconsideredthatthecastingoccurredforcinghighelasticdeformationathighstrainrates.Thedamageofthespecimensismainlycontrolledbyaxialstressbeforeunstabledeformation,whilemainlycontrolledbyshearstressafterunstabledeformation,andthendevelopedtofracturefinally.Thisprogressisrate-dependentthedevelopmentofthecracksinsidethecastingsincreasedwiththestrainrateincreasing. %K vinylesterresin %K quasi-static %K highstrainrate %K strainrateresponseandcrackdevelopment %U http://jme.biam.ac.cn/CN/Y2006/V0/I5/63
