%X Themacroscopicmixinginastirredtankwithdifferenttracerinjectionlocations,impellerspeedsandimpellerpositionsissimulatednumericallybysolvingthetransportequationofthetracerbasedonthewholeflowfieldinthebaffledtankwithaRushtondiskturbinenumericallyresolvedusingtheimprovedinner-outeriterativeprocedure.Predictedmixingtimeiscomparedwellwiththeliteraturecorrelations.Thepredictedresidencetimedistributionofthestirredtankisveryclosetothepresentexperimentalresults.Theeffectoftheinstallationofadrafttubeonthemixingtimeandresidencetimedistributionsisaddressed.
