%X Theshotchangedetectionisabasicandimportanttechnologyinvideoretrieval.Therearesomebasicalgorithmsfordetectingabruptshotchangeindigitalvideo,includingthetemplate-matchingalgorithm,thehistogramalgorithm,etc.,buttheycannotalwaysattainhighprecisioninpracticaldetecting.Hence,anapproachofshot-boundarydetectionbyfusingfeaturewasproposed.HSVhistogramisacommonandeffectivemethodforshotboundarydetection.Inthispaper,textureanalysiswasobtainedbywavelettransformationandthenwasintegratedwiththeHSVhistogram.Finally,theshotsweredetectedbythetechnologyofaslidingwindow.Experimentalresultshowsthatthisproposedapproachcandetectabruptshoteffectivelyandhasasatisfiedresultingradualshottransitiondetection.
