%X IndataminingfromtransactionDB,therelationshipsbetweentheattributeshavebeenfocused,buttherelationshipsbetweenthetupleshavenotbeentakenintoaccount.Inspatialdatabase,therearerelationshipsbetweentheattributesandthetuples,andmostoftheassociationsoccurbetweenthetuples,suchasadjacent,intersection,overlapandothertopologicalrelationships.Sothetasksofspatialdataassociationrulesminingincludeminingtherelationshipsbetweenattributesofspatialobjects,whicharecalledasverticaldirectionDM,andtherelationshipsbetweenthetuples,whicharecalledashorizontaldirectionDM.Thispaperanalyzesthestoragemodelsofspatialdata,usesforreferencethetechnologiesofdataminingintransactionDB,definesthespatialdataassociationrule,includingverticaldirectionassociationrule,horizontaldirectionassociationruleandtwodirectionassociationrule,discussesthemeasurementofspatialassociationruleinterestingness,andputsforwardtheworkflowsofspatialassociationruledatamining.Duringtwodirectionspatialassociationrulesmining,analgorithmisproposedtogetnonspatialitemsets.Byvirtueofspatialanalysis,thespatialrelationsweretransferredintononspatialassociationsandthenonspatialitemsetsweregotten.Basedonthenonspatialitemsets,theApriorialgorithmorotheralgorithmscouldbeusedtogetthefrequentitemsetsandthenthespatialassociationrulescomeintobeing.UsingspatialDB,thespatialassociationrulesweregottentovalidatethealgorithm,andthetestresultsshowthatthisalgorithmisefficientandcanminetheinterestingspatialrules.
