%X Severallarge-scalewindturbinetrippingaccidentsoccurredinJiuquanwindpowerbasein2011.Accordingtotheon-sitesurveyandanalysisoftheseaccidentsrelatedtorelayprotection，causeswerefoundtobethecollectionsystemdefectsandlowcorrectoperationrateofsmallcurrentgroundedlineselectorsoftheunearthedneutralpointcollectionsystem.ByreferringtoboththecharacteristicsofJiuquanwindpowerbaseandarrangementofrelayprotection，theshort-circuitfeaturesofwindpoweranditsimpactsonrelayprotectionareanalyzed.Thecollectionsystemandtheretrofitofthesmallcurrentgroundedlineselectorareimprovedbyspecificcountermeasures.Finally，furtherresearchsubjectsareputforward.
