%0 Journal Article %T Comparativestudiesofanodegasdiffusionlayersfordirectmethanolfuelcells %A 高妍 %A 王素力 %A 侯宏英 %A 赵亮 %J 大连理工大学学报 %P 291-297 %D 2014 %R 10.7511/dllgxb201403005 %X Comparativestudiesoffourcommon-usedanodegasdiffusionlayers(A-GDLs),namelycarboncloth,carbonpaper,carbonpaperbasedonXC-72(inshortXC-72)andGDLmadeofcarbonnanotubes(CNT)fordirectmethanolfuelcells(DMFCs)werecarriedoutanddiscussed.Theresultsofscanningelectronmicroscope(SEM),mercuryintrusionporosimeter(MIP)andelectrochemicaltestshowthatCNThaslargeporesizedistributioninporesizeof1000-3000nmandthelargesttotalporositycomparedwiththoseoftheotherthree.CarbonpaperandXC-72showdisadvantageousinfluencesoncellperformancesathighcurrentdensity,becausecarbonpaperhasmanylargeporeswhichareunsuitedforwatertransport,whileXC-72hasmanysmallporeswhichareunsuitedforgastransport.Thoughcellwithcarbonclothhasthehighestmethanoldiffusioncoefficient,itshowsalittlelowerperformancethanthatwithCNTduetoitsthickness.Anodepolarization(AP)resultsalsodisplaythatthecellwithCNThastheleastmethanolmasstransferresistance.Asaresult,thecellwithCNTshowsthebestperformancewiththehighestlimitingcurrentdensityandpeakpowerdensityof460mA·cm-2and110mW·cm-2,respectively. %K directmethanolfuelcells(DMFCs) %K gasdiffusionlayer(GDL) %K porosity %K masstransfer %K methanoldiffusioncoefficient %U http://press.dlut.edu.cn/ch/reader/view_abstract.aspx?file_no=20140305&flag=1
