%0 Journal Article %T ACLASSOFTWO-STEPTVDMACCORMACKTYPENUMERICALSCHEMEFORMHDEQUATIONS %A FENG %A Xueshang %A WEI %A Fengsi %A ZHONG %A Dingkun %J 空间科学学报 %P 401-412 %D 2003 %X Inthispaper,anewnumericalschemeofTotalVariationDiminishing(TVD)MacCormacktypeforMagnetoHydroDynamic(MHD)equationsisproposedbytakingintoaccountofthecharacteristicssuchasconvergence,stability,resolution.ThisnewschemeisestablishedbysolvingtheMHDequationswithaTVDmodifiedMacCormackschemeforthepurposeofdevelopingaschemeofquickconvergenceaswellasofTVDproperty.Toshowthevalidation,simplicityandpracticabilityoftheschemeformodellingMHDproblems,aself-similarCauchyproblemwiththediscontinuousinitialdataconsistingofconstantstates,andthecollisionoftwofastMHDshocks,andtwo-dimensionalOrszagandTang'sMHDvortexproblemarediscussedwiththenumericalresultsconformingtotheexistingresultsobtainedbytheRoetypeTVD,thehigh-orderGodunovscheme,andWeightedEssentiallyNon-Oscillatory(WENO)scheme.Thenumericaltestsshowthatthistwo-stepTVDMacCormacknumericalschemeforMHDsystemisofrobustoperationinthepresenceofverystrongwaves,thinshockfronts,thincontactandslipsurfacediscontinuities. %K TwostepTVDMacCormackscheme %K MHDnumericalsimulation %U http://www.cjss.ac.cn/CN/abstract/abstract1380.shtml
