%0 Journal Article %T Theroleofleptininstripedhamsterssubjectedtofoodrestrictionandrefeeding %A Zhi-Jun ZHAO %A Yong-An LIU %A Jing-Ya XING %A Mao-Lun ZHANG %A Xiao-Ying NI %A Jing CAO %J 动物学研究 %P 262-271 %D 2014 %R 10.13918/j.issn.2095-8137.2014.4.262 %X Foodrestriction(FR)andrefeeding(Re)havebeensuggestedtoimpairbodymassregulationandtherebymakingiteasiertoregainthelostweightanddevelopover-weightwhenFRends.However,itisunclearifthisisthecaseinsmallmammalsshowingseasonalforgingbehaviors.Inthepresentstudy,energybudget,bodyfatandserumleptinlevelweremeasuredinstripedhamstersthatwereexposedtoFR-Re.Theeffectsofleptinonfoodintake,bodyfatandgenesexpressionsofseveralhypothalamusneuropeptidesweredetermined.Bodymass,fatcontentandserumleptinleveldecreasedduringFRandthenincreasedduringRe.LeptinsupplementsignificantlyattenuatedtheincreaseinfoodintakeduringRe,decreasedgenesexpressionsofneuropepetideY(NPY)andagouti-relatedprotein(AgRP)ofhypothalamusandleptinofwhiteadiposetissue(WAT).Hormone-sensitivelipase(HSL)geneexpressionofWATincreasedinleptin-treatedhamstersthatwerefedadlibitum,butdecreasedinFR-Rehamsters.ThisindicatesthattheadaptiveregulationofWATHSLgeneexpressionmaybeinvolvedinthemobilizationoffatstorageduringRe,whichpartlycontributestotheresistancetoFR-Re-inducedoverweight.LeptinmaybeinvolvedinthedownregulationsofhypothalamusorexigenicpeptidesgeneexpressionandconsequentlyplaysacrucialroleincontrollingfoodintakewhenFRends. %K Bodymass %K Foodrestriction %K Hypothalamusneuropeptides %K Leptin %K Stripedhamster %U http://www.zoores.ac.cn/CN/abstract/abstract3492.shtml
