%0 Journal Article %T Low-temperaturegraphitizationofamorphouscarbonnanospheres %A Katia Barbera %A Leone Frusteri %A Giuseppe Italiano %A Lorenzo Spadaro %A Francesco Frusteri %A Siglinda Perathoner %A Gabriele Centi %J ´ß»¯Ñ§±¨ %P 869-876 %D 2014 %R 10.1016/S1872-2067(14)60098-X %X £¿TheinvestigationbySEM/TEM,porosity,andX-raydiffractionmeasurementsofthegraphitizationprocessstartingfromamorphouscarbonnanospheres,preparedbyglucosecarbonization,isreported.Aspectsstudiedaretheannealingtemperatureinthe750-1000¡ærange,thetypeofinertcarriergas,andtimeoftreatmentinthe2-6hrange.Itisinvestigatedhowtheseparametersinfluencethestructuralandmorphologicalcharacteristicsofthecarbonmaterialsobtainedaswellastheirnanostructure.Itisshownthatitispossibletomaintainaftergraphitizationtheround-shapedmacromorphology,ahighsurfaceareaandporosity,andespeciallyalargestructuraldisorderinthegraphiticlayersstacking,withthepresenceofrathersmallordereddomains.Thesearecharacteristicsinterestingforvariouscatalyticapplications.ThekeyinobtainingthesecharacteristicsisthethermaltreatmentinaflowofN2.ItwasdemonstratedthattheuseofHeratherthanN2doesnotallowobtainingthesameresults.Theeffectisattributedtothepresenceoftracesofoxygen,enoughtocreatethepresenceofoxygenfunctionalgroupsonthesurfacetemperatureshigherthan750¡æ,whengraphitizationoccurs.Theseoxygenfunctionalgroupsfavorthegraphitizationprocess. %K Graphitization %K Carbonnanospheres %K Carbonstructuraldisorder %U http://www.chxb.cn/CN/abstract/abstract21354.shtml
