NAGARAJU %J ´ß»¯Ñ§±¨ %P 438-446 %D 2012 %R 10.1016/S1872-2067(11)60338-0 %X £¿Inthisstudy,alumina,zirconia,manganeseoxide/alumina,andmanganeseoxide/zirconiahavebeeninvestigatedfortheircatalyticactivityinthecondensationreactionbetweeno-phenylenediamineandanaldehydeoraketonetosynthesise2-substitutedbenzimidazolesand1,5-disubstitutedbenzodiazepinesrespectively.Surfacearea,surfaceacidity,andmorphologyofthecatalystshavebeenanalysedandcorrelatedwiththeircatalyticactivity.Theisolatedyieldsof2-substitutedbenzimidazolesand1,5-disubstitutedbenzodiazepinesareintherangeof30%to95%.Agoodcorrelationbetweentheamountofsurfaceacidsitesaswellasthesurfacemorphologyofthecatalystsandthecatalyticactivityhasbeenobserved.Thismethodhasbeenfoundtobesimpleandeconomical.Thesolidsupportscouldberegeneratedandreusedwithoutmuchlossintheiractivity.Further,thesolidsupportshavebeenalsofoundtobeeffectiveasgeneralcatalystsinthecondensationofo-phenylenediaminewithothersubstitutedaldehydesandketones. %K 2-substitutedbenzimidazoles %K 1 %K 5-disubstitutedbenzodiazepines %K manganeseoxide %K alumina %K zirconia %U http://www.chxb.cn/CN/abstract/abstract20666.shtml
