%X ？Inthispaperwepresentanadaptivevideotransmissionframeworkthatintegratesrateallocationandbuffercontrolatthesourcewiththeplaybackadjustmentmechanismatthereceiver.Atransmissionrateisdeterminedbyarateallocationalgorithmwhichusestheprogramclockreference(PCR)embeddedinthevideostreamstoregulatethetransmissionrateinarefinedway.Theserversidealsomaintainsmultiplebuffersforpacketsofdifferentimportancelevelstotradeoffrandomlossforcontrolledlossaccordingtothesourcebuffersize,thevisualimpact,andtheplaybackdeadline.Anover-boundaryplaybackadjustmentmechanismbasedonproportional-integra(PI)controllerisadoptedatthereceivertomaximizethevisualqualityofthedisplayedvideoaccordingtotheoveralllossandthereceiverbufferoccupancy.Theperformanceofourproposedframeworkisevaluatedintermsofpeaksignal-to-noiseratio(PSNR)inthesimulations,andthesimulationresultsdemonstratetheimprovementoftheaveragePSNRvaluesaswellasthebetterqualityofthedecodedframes.
